  • GMC475 virtual headquarters moves to a different web provider and updates the forum to phpBB3.0

  • Greg and Ginger host the 4th annual GMC Christmas party at their home.  It was a full house with friends and families.  Once again the food was great and the company was even better.

April 28, 2009

  • Mike Zonis becomes the new 2nd Officer for GMC.  Mike's experience as a Road Captain will be an asset as he steps up to this position.

April 27, 2009

  • Roger McNay becomes the 1st Senior Road Captain of the GMC Chapter.  Roger took on the duties of the 2nd Officer for several years and helped the Chapter during it's first years of existance.  He is greatly appreciated for his dedication and experiance.  

December 6, 2008

  • GMC's 3rd Annual Christmas social one more time was a total success thanks to Lisa and Doug aka "Cornbread".  The social took place in their home and over 30 folks attended. GMC also celebrated it's 3rd birthday.  

May 24, 2008 VA State Rally

  • The State Rally was successful by all accounts.  Virginia's Chapters raised over 4000+ for St. Judes' Childrens Hospital.

  • GMC's Second Annual Christmas Gathering is a success.  Thanks to Trisha and Ben for hosting it at their home.  The Chapter also celebrated their 2nd Birthday.

  • The Chapter's 1st cookout is a success.  Hosted by Dave and Melanie at their home.

  • Roger McNay celebrates his one year anniversary as Second Officer of the GMC Chapter.

  • 14 members attend the Road Captain Training conducted by MSF/APEX Instructor, Dave Best.

December 14, 2006

  • GMC celebrates its 1st birthday.  Close to 30 members attend Dave and Melanie Elswick's home to celebrate Christmas and GMC's 1st birthday.  It was a wonderful evening thanks to their hospitality.

  • Roger McNay takes over as Second Officer of the GMC Chapter.

June 8, 2006

  • Board of Directors formed to facilitate Chapter growth.  Big K, ROGER, Dave, Milt & Myself become initial members of the BOD.  Annual elections of the General Membership, every January, will refresh some of the BOD participants.

April 4, 2006

  • Chapter Treasurer position is filled.  Milt "bcrusn" takes on the challenge.

January 25, 2006

  • 1st Chapter meeting is held in Manassas.  It's a successful meeting to kick off the new Chapter and a new riding season.

January 20, 2006

  • Welcome to the Greater Manassas Chapter # 475 of the Southern Cruisers Riding Club.

January 14, 2006

  • The Chapter support website and forum are on line, tested and working well.  GMC475 goes public.

January 09, 2006

  • Transferring chapter members are personally invited to register into the new GMC forum to begin testing their new home.

  • Karl O. Spiess, III (Big K) is appointed Second Officer of the GMC Chapter

  • The GMC475.Com is registered and the new Webpage and message forum are established to support the GMC Chapter.

Christmas 2005

  • Greater Manassas Chapter (GMC) carves out a piece of Virginia to support riders in Prince William County and Fauquier County.  With the increase of motorcycle riders in Virginia the need was realized for the establishment of  an additional Chapter, hence, the birth of GMC 475.
